Mission

Our Mission

The mission of the Center is to provide support to families in preventing and dealing with child abuse in West Tennessee and to help both parents and children meet the practical needs of preserving and improving the quality of family life.

The Center

The Center combines a professional staff with trained volunteers to provide quality services to children and their families. If you have questions for us about our programs or services, please feel free to contact us. We'll do our best to answer your questions promptly.

What We Do

Who We Serve

The Center's services put families back together and literally save the lives of children. Currently, a majority of the cases are children who have been sexually abused. Referrals come to the Center from the Department of Children Services, Juvenile Court and other court systems, school systems, attorney agencies and also as self-referrals. The Center serves anyone who needs our services and does not charge a fee. Those benefiting from the Center’s services are from every walk of life. Abuse is not a respecter of person, and the Center is a 501c3 and does not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, handicap or national origin.

Serving West Tennessee

The Center provides services to all of rural West Tennessee, with the central office located in Jackson, Tennessee. There are centers in sixteen of the West Tennessee counties, while others are served by a visiting social worker from an established location. Crisis counseling is available to any individual or family in West Tennessee by calling the toll-free, 24-hour crisis hotline at 1-800-273-4747. We have two staff members on-call to help you. Please call if you want to talk to someone.

The Benefits

We are working to give children back their childhood and let them know that someone cares. We also have programs to help the whole family make positive changes. We are often able to keep families together or reunite families who have been separated, as well as improve their quality of life. We give these children the gift of hope for a brighter future—a future without pain but healing and hope.
